The Rail Competence Centre (RCC) is FCT’s ‘one-stop-shop’ for the rail industry.
RCC’s central aim is to roll out the very successful model of competence assurance and NVQ accreditation that has already been implemented for London Underground to other railway companies across the country.
RCC has excellent links with key organisations such as the Skills Funding Agency, the Regional Development Agency, People First, Sector Skills Councils, the Transport Skills and Employment Forum, City and Guilds and other standards-setting and awarding bodies. This is in order to influence funding allocations and requirements along with the development and awarding of qualifications for the rail industry.
We have been extremely successful in obtaining government funding to support employers in delivering training and NVQ awards to their workforce.
