Learning and Development (L&D) qualifications improve standards of practice for those working in training, learning and development. They include a range of ‘mini qualifications’ to boost special skills and knowledge.hese City & Guilds qualifications are designed for people working in, or looking to enter roles in learning and development. They are suitable for people working in accredited learning, non-accredited learning (where people may train and assess skills but do not assess for a qualification), and the qualifications on the Qualification Credit Framework (QCF).

 

Learning and Development

Learning and Development professionals – or any staff whose role includes designing and delivering training, learning and development for other staff – will benefit from our L&D programmes including:

  • Level 3 Award in Facilitating Learning and Development – City & Guilds 6318-02
  • Level 3 Certificate in Learning and Development – City & Guilds 6318-03
  • Level 4 Diploma in Learning and Development – City & Guilds 6318-05

Learning and development qualifications are perfect for trainers who plan, design, deliver and facilitate learning and development including as inductions, group briefings, training sessions, classes, workshops, seminars and courses.  Train the trainer can also be combined with a qualification or just a unit.

 

Learning and Development Units

We can support your staff to demonstrate and accredit their competence as trainers, coaches and training facilitators for individuals and groups.  Briefing and workplace assessment by our expert assessors can lead to unit accreditation such as:

  • City & Guilds Unit 8 Facilitate Learning and Development in Groups
  • City & Guilds Unit 9 Facilitate Learning and Development for Individuals.

 

Coaching

Coaches work one-to-one with colleagues in the workplace, supporting them to develop their performance and competence.

Our coaching development programme covers practical techniques for coaching in one-to-one learning and development situations.  Accreditation options include the City & Guilds L&D Unit 9 Facilitate Learning and Development for Individuals to enable your staff to coach individuals in the workplace.

 

Train the Trainer

Trainers need to understand how adults learn, and be able to structure and deliver effective training with confidence.  Train the trainer is for anyone who trains groups of people, in an education or workplace learning and development context.

Our five day course gives a practical introduction to the skills required to be trainer and facilitate group learning.  Accreditation options include the City & Guilds Unit 8 Facilitate Learning and Development in Groups.
